Month 8.5 Retie and Updates

Today marks the longest I have gone between reties (normally 4-5 weeks). It's been 6 weeks and 3 days since my last retie. I had to maneuver between around several life events, meetings and travel. My hair is none for the worse- and the extra week didn't add any time to my retightening.

Weeks since last retie: 6 weeks, 3 days

Length of retie:  3 hours- that was fast...I think normally it has been 3.5 hours

Slippage/Bunching/Loc Repair: my temple area locs

Length: between neck and collarbone

Fullness: n/a

Buds: a few more locs have some buds

Sealed ends: n/a

Other noteworthy items: I shampooed my hair a total of 4 times the past 6 weeks. My workout regimen has me pouring sweat 6-7 days a week; my hair and scalp needed the extra tlc to prevent buildup (that grey gunk which is sweat, epithelials and sebum- at least that's what I say it is).

I asked my consultant if I caused any issues and she said no. Side note: When my hair was loose and this length, I would only shampoo my hair every 2-3 weeks. With locs- I shampoo my hair about every 10 days.

FYI, I confessed my unplanned undercut and since I already said that I would NEVER do that again- I didn't get a lecture. She hugged me and said that when the hair grows back, she will re-establish thise locs.

And guess what?! My consultant said that the back of my hair is starting to settle! That's right! My hair is going through to the next phase! Well, the back is starting to settle. The front is still in the teenage phase.

Do you have really fine hair? I ask because it seems your retightens are in close increments. Oh losing the locks is horrible, but you can't tell from the picture. I have hair that grows wildly outside of my lower hairline leaning towards the ear. It's never int he lock it just sits there hunting me (until I forget about it). I always think to cut it, but am so apprehensive I'm going to cut the wrong thing.

2. My hair is somewhat fine- I never thought that it would affect my retightening schedule, but I guess it does.
3. Thanks for the kind words. And yes, those locs will grow back. I will definitely appreciate them more LOL

Exercise Friendly Style- Loc Hawk

Yesterday's post retie style just felt too "poofy" so I separated the ponytail into two to ...wait, that was confusing to type...into, two, to...REWIND! I split the ponytail and made two stacked ponytails. What do you think?
